Our fictional Steampunk film character, Shelby, is coming to life through our student designers. As part of our new design challenge, students are provided with a character description of Shelby and asked to convey their interpreted personality through designing costume pieces and props. Students have had the opportunity to use a range of tech and equipment to create their designs. These have included coding and micro:bit microcontrollers to incorporate sound, light and movement as well as 3D modelling and printing, laser cutting, sewing and soldering for physical construction. We have had a ball helping bring student ideas to life!
