National Science Week virtual challenge

If you’re looking for a fun activity that your school, family or self can do whilst we are learning and working remotely, then check out our virtual 2020 National Science Week Rosetta Tomorrow Challenge.

Fully online, the resource guides participants through designing their own artifact containing a message to the future about our world today – just as the Rosetta Stone gave us information into ancient Egypt.

From the submitted designs, 10 will be chosen, made by the Whittlesea Tech School team and put into a time capsule for future societies to discover. In addition, the designers of those chosen items will also each receive a 3D-printed version.

For the public, there will also be an optional, free Introduction to 3D Modelling workshop live-streamed here on Wednesday 19th August at 3:30 pm. For partner schools, we are also offering individual 3D modelling Skill-Up sessions throughout National Science Week, so get in touch if you’re interested.
