Whittlesea Tech School respects and welcomes children of all backgrounds, genders, sexualities, abilities and cultures and is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment. We support and respect all children, and are committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all our visitors.

Whittlesea Tech School is committed to promoting a safe environment for staff and students.  All children and young people at Whittlesea Tech School have the right to feel safe and be safe. The wellbeing of children and young people visiting Whittlesea Tech School is our first priority and child abuse of any nature is not tolerated. We ensure those who identify as having a disability, those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, are gender diverse, and those whose who identify as a member of the LGBTIQA+ community are safeguarded.

Whittlesea Tech School has a duty of care to take reasonable measures to protect all children and young people from foreseeable risks and injuries and provide a safe environment. Whittlesea Tech School recognises the need for safety and wellbeing to provide positive and nurturing learning experiences, and seeks to maintain a child safe organisation where all children and young people feel safe, valued, respected, encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential.
