PROGRAM CATEGORY OVERVIEWS
AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Our after-school programs provide a practical way for young people, teachers, community and industry to engage with science, technology, engineering, art and maths (STEAM). In 2021, we are offering a range of programs for different cohorts throughout the week, including an onsite makerspace that provides access to equipment and a virtual, term-long Internet of Things (IoT) course.

CORE & SPECIALIST PROGRAMS

Core and specialist programs are our main offerings to partner secondary schools, and are developed in partnership with local community, industry and schools. They centre around solving local and global challenges with a particular focus on the growth industries of Melbourne’s north. The learning programs broaden student views on career pathways and develop transferable skills that prepare young people for the changing nature of work.

ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAMS

In collaboration with the Melbourne Innovation Centre, our entrepreneur programs support the next generation of innovators to realise their potential. The Introduction to Entrepreneurship program runs fully online and is available to all High-Ability students from Victorian government schools. This modular program has several delivery options, including as weekly sessions or 2-3 day intensive programs during the school term or breaks.

ONLINE TECH SKILL-UPS

Covering a variety of technology skills, each 90-minute Online Tech Skill-Up session is designed to provide a quick way to engage with the Tech School from the comfort of your own school classroom. These virtual sessions are a great way to build digital literacy skills and expose students to new learning experiences as part of your curriculum. New sessions will be added throughout the year, so get in touch if there is specific software you would like us to add to our Online Tech Skill-Up library.
